Purpose…

You all may be wondering what inspired Me start this website, and I Am asking My Self that same question? I guess it all starts from whence I was quite young. I can remember growing up wondering why are things “the way they are!”, I had and still have this inner voice saying “question every thing!”.

I had a awesome up bringing! Living in a simple community named Daly Grove(in Millwoods, Edmonton, Alberta CANADA). My Family treated Us very well, and I can say that with integrity. My Parents provided My Brother, Sister and I with every thing We could ever desire, You may say We were a average suburban Family, what You would call a typical “middle class Family”, but to Me it was a lot, especially when I look upon it now. My Parents did the best they knew at the time, and I Love them for it, and continue to Love them 🙂

When I think about it now, I realize I Am a better Human Being as a result of My Family! No thing was dis-functional about Us, and I believe that because I have no stories to tell like molestations, beatings,  impoverish conditions and so forth(things that society will tell You that are not normal). But what is normal? Normal I believe in My definition is what majority of the masses are doing at that specific point in time. So if You really think about that definition, it means any thing goes if the majority are dong it! That I believe is pretty dis-functional! And this is where I get My inspiration from, My purpose so to speak. I Am for once in My life doing what I have always thought and felt, and that is “What I desire!”, not doing what the masses are doing.

I can remember getting My first job, it was exciting at first and then after a brief while I realized “this sucks!!!”. Then I moved on to what You would call a better job, and shortly there after I thought to My Self again “this SUCKS too!!!”. And so the cycle began, I always did what others thought and said I should do. They said “You have to get a job”, “does not matter if You like it”, “if it pays good You will learn to enjoy it!”…After a while I got My Self into what You call debt, most people go through this stage and most continuee to repeat it over and over again. I lost hope for a bit, thinking to My Self “What is this all for, what does it matter!” Eventually I whipped into shape so to speak, got another “good paying job I did not enjoy” paid off My debt and thought I felt good about My Self, but I did not. Some thing was missing, “Purpose”. I began looking into various so called “Conspiracy Theories” and started to get quite angry inside, wondering “?what the hell is this Worlds problem!”. I soon came to realize it was not what was out there that was the problem, it was in Me that was the problem. So instead of always searching and finding all the problems, I began to just look with in for all the solutions. I love this quote “Look with in, and You will find with out!” that is very profound! It means when You go with in Your Self and change how You feel about every thing, the out side World(Your experience) changes to what You desire!

I admit I have read quite a large stack of books(still continue to read), and watch various videos on all topics as well. But that was and still is just stepping stones to aid Me and ingrain My “purpose” on the stage of Life. Which brings Me to My original question “why Am I doing this website?”. “There are millions of other sites just like Yours, Matt!”, “What makes Your site so special?”, and You are right there are millions of like websites, but what makes it so special is “I Am doing what I Love doing, and that is providing un-biased information to any One who desires to better their experience in this Universe!”. You are thinking “Un-biased?” How? I have on My site stuff that is beside there so called “competitors” stuff! I believe as people We can choose what is right for Us, and not require any One to filter out any thing. I Am doing some thing most believe is impossible, because We have been raised to think in order to get a head in Life, You have to be competitive! Says who? I choose to question Our so called “Beliefs”, another cool quote I have read is “Beliefs are Perception Filters!” Therefore what You believe limits or enhances Your experiences! So You can say what You were taught throughout Your entire Life structures how You perceive things. But You are not a victim of this, You have the choice to change Your beliefs at any moment! And this My Friend is profound. This is what I Love about Life the most “The Freedom of Choice!”. Once You understand that statement, and fully believe it, Your experience here makes more sense! No thing is expected from You at all, You are what, You are! And that is as simple as it gets.

For a year now lots has happened, I was laid off, chose to not ever work for any One else again, released My fear of authority and not having money, become more accepting of others, forgave every One I thought wronged Me, forgave My Self for wronging others, I Am fully responsible for every action I do! I have done a complete 180 degree turn around from who I was! And I thank every One in My Life for being My teachers!

Enjoy what I continue to provide for You on this website, for I enjoy sharing it with You!

Sincerely~Matt Sicotte 😀

45 Lessons Life has Taught Regina Brett

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland ,
Ohio

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It
is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to
90 in August, so here is the column once more:"

                  1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

                  2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

                  3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

                  4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick.
Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

                  5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

                  6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to
                  disagree.

                  7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

                  8. It's OK to get angry with God.. He can take it.

                  9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

                  10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
                  12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

                  13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea
what their journey is all about.

                  14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't
                  be in it.

                  15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But
                  don't worry; God never blinks.

16.. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

                  17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or
                  joyful.

                  18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you
                  stronger.

                  19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But
the second one is up to you and no one else.

                  20. When it comes to going after what you love in life,
don't take no for an answer.

                  21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy
lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is
                  special.

                  22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

                  23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear
                  purple.

                  24. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

                  25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ''In
                  five years, will this matter?".

                  26. Always choose life.

                  27. Forgive everyone everything.

                  28. What other people think of you is none of your
                  business.

                  29. Time heals almost everything.. Give time, time.

                  30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

                  31. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

                  32. Believe in miracles.

                  33. God loves you because of who God is, not because of
anything you did or didn't do.

                  34. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it
                  now.

                  35. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

                  36. Your children get only one childhood.

                  37. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

38.Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting
                  everywhere.

                  39. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw
everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

                  40. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you
                  need.

                  41. The best is yet to come.

                  42. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

                  43. Yield.

                  44. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

                  45. It is statistically written that 93% will "not" pass this information on to others :)

Enjoy!
