I remember a Friend of Mine asking Me this question “Is it Worth it?”. At first I really never really under stood the question, but more recently I know the deeper meaning behind it.
Let’s say You desire a new automobile. You found one You really like, it costs approximately $50,000. You have a automobile at the moment that has served You well over the years. You receive a income of $55,000 per year, and have expenses of approximately three quarters Your yearly salary. The automobile You currently use functions rather well. The new auto You desire is twice the purchase amount of Your current auto. If You work the math out, You have approximately $18,000 a year to finance the auto You desire.
Now forget the above paragraph. It is not even relevant in the choice of purchasing that new auto. It really comes down to “Is it Worth it?”. Do You feel as though this new auto will serve You better than Your current auto? Do You feel You deserve a new auto? What are the real reasons You desire this new auto? The list is endless… What I Am getting at here is, Worth is not all about what dollar amount is attached to that item! What I may find useful, You may find useless! And vice versa. It is all based on what You require it for, moment to moment.
Make choices in Your Life based on Your requirements, and Enjoy the process! Who cares what others may think or say. If it is Worth it to You, that is all that really matters!
